Today's topic is about cleaning up your beauty products and preventing mold in your own restroom.
Did you know that mold can grow in your restroom and on your beauty tools? This can be harmful to your skin and overall health. In this episode, we'll talk about some simple steps you can take to prevent mold and keep your beauty tools clean and healthy.
Firstly, let's talk about toothbrushes. Whether you use a manual or electric toothbrush, it's important to clean them regularly to prevent the growth of mold. Rinse your toothbrush thoroughly after each use and let it air dry. You can also soak it in hydrogen peroxide for a few minutes once a week to kill any bacteria or mold spores.
Moving on to hair brushes, these are often overlooked when it comes to cleaning, but they can harbour mold and bacteria too. Use a comb to remove any hair from your brush, then soak it in warm soapy water for a few minutes. Rinse and let it air dry completely before using it again.
Another common place for mold to grow is on shower heads. To prevent this, you can clean your shower head with a mixture of vinegar and water once a month. Better yet, add a shower filter to your bathroom routine to limit exposure to harmful chemicals and mold.
Mold exposure can be harmful to our health and can cause skin irritations, respiratory issues, and even serious health problems. It's important to take steps to prevent mold growth in your bathroom and on your beauty tools.
By taking a few simple steps, you can keep your restroom and beauty tools clean and healthy. And don't forget to check out my favorites page for my at-home purification tools, and shop my products that are free of parabens, phthalates, sulfates, artificial dyes, and fragrances.
